Change Your Life, Now.

Are you having a bad day? Maybe even a bad week? I had a bad month a few times in my life. Looking back on last year, I had a bad year. What did I do about it? My choice was a little dramatic. I am not suggesting this is a good approach for everyone, but it worked for me.

Covid19 was just the start of it. Loss of income, loss of a loved one, ended a relationship, my apartment broken into, assaulted outside my bank and my boss was less than pleasant on a daily basis. Starting in January, I started riding my bicycle for daily exercise. My rides became longer and harder. I needed to be outside, Covid19 or not. I got into the best shape I had been in since college. My anxiety and Covid19 cabin fever resided as long as I was out riding. So I planned a longer ride.

I rode my bicycle from San Francisco, California to Alaska. I liked it so much I quit my job, rented an apartment and wrote a book about it. Sound like fun? I am now an Alaska resident and have a good job. It was not the easiest thing to do. When I left I had every intention of returning to my starting point. Somewhere along the way I decided to make it a one way trip. Only one small problem, I left Everything I Owned back in San Francisco. I took two t-shirts and my riding shorts.

I have now been here for five months and I have no regrets. I met incredible people along my ride. I met some good people at my new job. I am still excited about my change of environment. I am even looking forward to the winter here. I could use some more warm clothing but you can’t have everything all the time. If you want to know more you can always email me or wait for my book that should be out before the end of the year. Cheers.
