Technology is great these days. We have all sorts of gadgets and gizmos that tell us anything and everything. We have apparatus’s that do all sorts of things. But what happens when you lose your internet connection or wi-fi signal.
What Will We Do?
I work in the ocean, sometimes 50 to 60 miles from shore. I believe line of sight is lost at 11 miles and even if you raise the antennae on top of a hill or building you won’t get much more than forty miles from a cell tower. This means I lose both cell phone and internet service. Oh My Gosh, what will I do?
Cave Men Communication
I am back at my regular day job this week and part of next. My ability to access the internet and post my daily blogs has become sporadic. I am back in the cave man days of communications. I found out today that you can still sit down and talk to people with out a phone or text messages. You can just look at them and say “hello”.
Say Hello
It is an interesting concept, saying “hello” in the modern era. Young people look at me funny for saying hello. They mutter something about digits, shake their heads and wander off. I still like to say hello to indiscriminate people…
