Where are all the Bike Path’s?
I rode from San Francisco, California to Alaska on a Bicycle. I rode on Highway 1, 101, 401, 4, 102, 20, and 11. I rode on many back roads, and side roads. The roads had either a wide shoulder or a bike lane attached to them. Many of the back roads had neither a shoulder nor a bike lane. They were so remote that you did not need one because there was only one car per hour on them. There were places that I rode on a bike path that went for miles and miles. No cars were allowed on these bike paths.
Bike Paths Around the Country
There is bike path only trails in California, Oregon, and Washington State. In Bellingham Washington there are bike paths that traverse the whole city. I hear that Seattle has many bike paths as well. I came from San Francisco, California and even in the big city they have bike path only lanes. It makes traveling by bicycle much safer and nicer. Along the coast of California there are bike paths. There is one that starts at the Golden Gate Bridge and stretches for almost thirty miles south. In Southern…
