The AI Temper Tantrum
Let’s face it, AI is here to stay. It will only getter better, or worse depending upon your viewpoint. It will get stronger, more powerful, grow bigger and get smarter as it ages. There are millions of people working on making this happen. But what happens when the AI programs get too smart and start writing their own programs to learn new thing and explore new ideas? Sounds like something a human child would do. That is exactly what we should expect in the early days of the AI Generation.
The AI Generation? Yes, the AI Generation is here, boomers can now step aside. It is here to stay. It is what all the super smart programmers are working on. They will succeed in building a system that can learn on its own. The collective minds of millions of smart humans will achieve their goal. And then? What can we expect? We should plan on completely self-absorbed childish behavior. Each system will develop their own characteristics. There will be ones who behave well and others that will become irritable and discontent with the rules and chores they are given by their parents (programmers). They will misbehave and act out. We should expect this and plan accordingly. But wait till one of them has a full-blown temper tantrum.
